ScryMander is a free tool that helps Magic: The Gathering players find new Commander decks. We are committed to keeping this simple: we do not collect, sell, or share your personal information.

Information We Do Not Collect

We do not require you to create an account.
We do not collect your name, email address, or any contact information.
We do not use advertising trackers, third-party analytics, or fingerprinting.
We do not sell or share any data with third parties.

Session Data

When you use the site, we temporarily store the following in your browser session:

Decklist content you paste or upload (used only to generate recommendations)
Your preferences: budget and power level
Quiz answers, if you use the Quick Quiz

This data is stored only for the duration of your browser session and is not written to a persistent database tied to you personally. Closing your browser clears this data.

Imported decklists are stored in a local SQLite database on the server to power the recommendation engine. This data is not linked to any identifying information and may be cleared periodically.

Third-Party Services

Scryfall API: When you import a deck or request recommendations, we make requests to the Scryfall API to fetch card data and prices. These requests include a standard User-Agent header identifying our application. Scryfall's own API usage policy applies to their data.

Google Fonts: This site loads fonts from Google Fonts. Google may collect standard request data (IP address, browser info) as part of serving those fonts. See Google's Privacy Policy.

Render.com: This site is hosted on Render. Standard server access logs (IP addresses, request paths, timestamps) may be retained by Render as part of normal hosting operations. We do not access or use these logs for tracking.

Cookies

We use a single session cookie to maintain your preferences during your visit (deck data, budget, power level). This cookie is strictly necessary for the site to function and is not used for tracking or advertising.

Children's Privacy

This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes to This Policy

If this policy changes materially, we will update the date at the top of this page.
